I met Christy through LeighAnn, a former bride of mine that I simply adored! Its no surprise that I absolutely LOVED working with Christy for the past year and a half. She's a bonafide sweetheart!

As the day progressed, I noticed that Christy and Jesse have something really special. I've been to a lot of weddings...but there was something different here. This wedding was full of great surprises from Jesse skipping down the aisle with his best man, his best friend surprising the couple with being licensed to marry them, the bar Jesse's dad built them, the numerous and well thought out decorations, the genuine friendships, to the deep love that each parent had for their new "child"...it was all so amazing!! It was the perfect day.

Its been a week and a half since the wedding. The dress has been sent away to the cleaner, food and cake have been eaten, the DJ has gone, the barn has been cleaned up and all that remains is their love and these photos. What an honor.

Anderson's shoot was at the beautiful Hartwood Acres Mansion during a major downpour that started as soon as we pulled into the parking lot! Nancy & Alex - The Big Proposal!

On July 26, 2015, a wonderful guy named Alex asked my sweet baby sister to marry him...and she said YES!! I was super excited when he asked me to photograph the proposal and believe it or not, I was able to shoot through the tears that snuck up on me :) Everything about these two and this proposal is sweet, happy, innocent and God honoring. I can't wait for them to embark on the lifelong journey of marriage - they're going to be a great team. Congratulations, you two! And welcome to the family, bro!

I felt so at home photographing this wonderful family. As the oldest of 4 girls, I know there is never a dull moment in a family of 6 and while there might be common interests, each sibling is very unique....and I love it.

Last Thursday morning was full of sweetness because I got to spend it with Delaney! You know how you just have a good feeling about a soul? Yeah - thats how I felt about her despite her age :) She has a fun older brother that will no doubt love her, protect her, and make her stronger and I was so glad I got to capture a few moments of them together. What a sweet little girl and a privilege it was to photograph her!

I got to meet little Cayden last Thursday and OH this little guy! What a treat! Not only did he give me a few big smiles, he was so easy going, made tons of eye contact, and was so comfortable posing on his back!

This photo session was a gift from his aunt who lives a few hours away. When mama's due date came and went, Cayden's aunt and I would excitedly send emails back and forth about what to expect and when to expect it. The day of the photo shoot I finally met mama AND grandma and we had a blast!

Ohmygosh I love Charlee. You can't NOT love her. She is as pleasant as they come and just outta this world adorable! I mean look at THAT HAIR! Her Mommy & Daddy are just so tickled about her - and so am I. It was such a joy to photograph her and I am just in love with these photos!!! Big kudos to Mama for bringing all these beautiful bows and props and one of Mama's family/friends who gave me the name for this blog post. I have no doubt that Charlee will always be a sweet lil angel!

I'm just going to say it - Sebastian is the kind of baby that makes you want to have more children. This little guy is a cool as a cucumber, as cute as a button, and already showing everyone that he's awesome at everything (like eating, posing, being cuddly!) - all within his first week of life. He stayed awake for most of the session - almost as if he knew he had to make his big debut as cute as can be. Welcome, Sebastian! xo

PS my little guy wants to know if you guys can be friends.... :)

I have only known Dawn and Mike for a short time but I feel like I've been friends with them for a while! These two are just absolutely adorable together and when you are around them you instantly feel comfortable. Their love for each other radiates and its pretty hard to miss that these two have something special. During our photo shoot Mike couldn't stop making Dawn smile and I couldn't stop pressing the shutter button! Putting this blog together was pretty hard - I have so many images that are total perfection - so I'll just put up a few to share and leave the rest to them :) They are getting married in one of the most amazing places in November - Chicago! Seven is Heaven

The June 23rd marks the day that lil Rogan turns 7 months old and what is even more special than that is his faithful companion, Helga, turns 3 years old today! The peanut of the group (hint: not Rogan and definitely not Helga) will be 7 years old this December. Time flies...a little too fast sometimes.

Before I met Katie, I had heard through the grapevine that she was a great person but when I met her in person I found out that she was a bona fide sweetheart! Her boys are so spirited and while shooting I had the opposite of *flashbacks* - I had a glimpse into my future! I hope that when my little guy gets older he has as much spirit as her boys do! I got to shoot her whole family that came in from out of town for Memorial Day weekend and I have to say, this is a great bunch, folks! xo

I can't help falling in love with my clients - especially Kris & Mike. They had a beautiful wedding at The Mansion in Maple Heights and rain couldn't stop us from capturing the beauty that this venue and couple had to share with each other and their guests. I would say that their wedding was beyond a shadow of a doubt, "effortlessly romantic". This was such a magical day and I am so honored that Mark & I could capture it for them!
